Through our partnership with Loadsmart, StoneLoads enables users to book freight directly through our platform. Here's how:
When logged in and browsing through loads on the marketplace, you'll now see an "Estimate Shipping Provided by StoneLoads" link underneath the Notes section and above the Checkout button.
To see pricing and book freight in realtime:
- Navigate to an individual load page and scroll to the "StoneLoads Shipping Rates" section (below the Notes section and above the Checkout button).
- Enter your desired pickup date and ZIP code, then click "Calculate." (Note: If you're flexible on your delivery date, you may be able to find cheaper rates by checking rates for different delivery dates.)
- If you are satisfied with the rate quote, click checkout to navigate to the checkout process.
- During the checkout process, simply enter your delivery date and location information. You'll see the freight cost added as a line item in your total purchase cost.
- Complete checkout, and the next time you'll think about freight is when the truck arrives with your load!
(Please note: If you would prefer to book your own freight, you can still arrange that outside of the platform.)
