How do I create a custom load?

Here, we'll walk you through the steps of configuring a unique custom load for sale on the StoneLoads marketplace.

Please note: Payout information and locations must be configured before building a load. If you need help with those steps, check out our Knowledge Base articles about each topic: Payouts & Locations

Custom Loads are unique pre-pulled and weighed loads staged and ready for pickup. If you would like to add a Product Listing refer to this article HERE.

  • Navigate to the load builder: Click "Listings" and select "Custom Loads" at the top left. This will bring you to the load builder.

  • Click "Add New Load"
  • Select your 'ship from location'
  • Add products to your load: Next, you'll want to add products using the following steps:
    • Find the products you're looking to add to your load by searching your product list in the search bar or clicking "+ All My Products" to see your full product list and filter results. Choose the ones you'd like to add.
    • Once products are selected, you can add additional pallets of each product with the "Add Pallet" button.
    • Note: The platform brings in your pre-priced items from your product list.
  • Add pallet weights:
    • Enter each individual unique pallet weight for the load you are building.
    • If your material is priced by a unit other than weight, you will have the ability to enter each individual pallet's unit quantity here as well.
    • Note: The platform calculates the pallet price and totals as you go. While adding pallets you will see a running total of count, price, and weight to make sure you are filling up a full truckload.
  • Add photos:
    • We require at least two photos of the load to accompany the posting. You can either a) take the photos on your device if working from a tablet or mobile device or b) save them to your computer and upload them directly by clicking the "Browse" button.
    • Remember, these photos help sell your product, so quality photos that accurately show the material you are selling is crucial. (You can always add more than two photos or include a photo of the material installed to show its application.)
  • Notes, Preview, Save as Draft, and Publish:
    • Public notes (optional): Although public notes are optional, this is a great spot to add clarity on product or extra info you'd like to share with potential buyers.
    • Private notes (optional): Use private notes to remind your team where you have this load staged or a unique identifier for the load to be used internally.
    • Document uploads (optional): This is a great spot for ASTM standards or other product info.
    • Once all details are configured, you can preview your load to see exactly what buyers will see on the StoneLoads marketplace.
    • "Save as Draft" allows you to save the info for finishing a load later. (Some quarries let their forklift operator build the load and take pictures to save it as a draft for the manager to review and publish.)
    • "Publish" makes a load live and available for purchase on the StoneLoads marketplace.
